Charlottesville Black Business Expo Returns to IX Art Park on September 22

The 7th annual Charlottesville-Albemarle Black Business Expo is back! This free event will take place on Friday, September 22, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at IX Art Park.

The Expo will feature more than 30 booths operated by Black-owned businesses, as well as three panel discussions, a business pitch competition, and live music entertainment. The panel discussions will focus on topics such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and financial literacy. The business pitch competition will give entrepreneurs the opportunity to compete for cash prizes. And the live music will be provided by Mighty Joshua and Afro Asia.

“This event is a great opportunity for the public to meet and support Black-owned businesses,” said Ty Cooper, director of the Expo. “It’s also a chance for business owners to network and grow.” The Expo is open to everyone, regardless of race or ethnicity. Admission is free.

For more information, visit BlackBusinessExpo.org. Businesses can reserve a booth by filling out the registration form on the website.

The Charlottesville-Albemarle Black Business Expo is generously sponsored by IX Art Park, Bama Works, City of Charlottesville, Charlottesville Office of Economic Development, United Way of Greater Charlottesville, and Community Investment Collaborative.
