Hey Cville — the countdown is ON and the vibes are growing stronger than ever as we gear up for Soul of Cville fifth anniversary. Our theme this year is Firmly Planted; Fiercely Flourishing — and we’re growing something BIG, bold, and beautiful in the heart of the city.
But let’s get right to it:
The Open Call is coming. And it’s gonna be a moment.
Sunday, May 4 | 6:00–7:30 PM
We’re looking for the movers, the makers, the style slayers and community players. This isn’t just any casting call — it’s a creative roll call.
We’re seeking:
• Print models
• Runway models
• Brand ambassadors
• Designers & boutiques
• Photographers
• Back-of-house style support
• And other fly volunteers who can make the magic happen!
Soul of Cville literally wouldn’t be possible without you!
Age 15+ and listen—we mean real diversity: size, age, gender, background—we want it ALL. And if you’ve modeled with us before, guess what? You gotta show up again. This is your mandatory runway roll call!
Here’s what you need to do:
1. Fill out the Waiver and Release Form
2. Show up on May 4th dressed in all black: black top, black bottoms, black shoes.
3. Models: heels for women, hard bottoms for men.
This year’s creative dream team includes:
• Avis Fields on choreography
• Micah Washington on model coaching
• Khalilah Jones & Santanna Burnley tag-teaming the creative direction
Get ready for an elevated experience — we’re presenting this fashion show and the entire festival differently this year, and you won’t want to miss it.
