Determined Series wins Awards from the Virginia Press Association

Virginia Press Association awarded for Vinegar Hill & Charlottesville Tomorrow for the Determined Series collaboration. Determined received First Place Multimedia Report, First Place for Illustrations, Best in Show for Online Digital, and Best in Show Illustrations. One of the judges commented that “I was impressed with [their] ability to use a combination of illustration, photos, and graphics to tell this story. Clearly, the most important story of our lifetime told in a way that showed the emptiness of our cities and states due to the pandemic. Congratulations to Jordy Yager, Journalist; Lorenzo Dickerson, Photographer; Sahara Clemons, Artist.
