The Charlottesville city council has chosen Juandiego Wade as the new Mayor! After a few years of serving as Vice Mayor, ‘Jaun’ as he is affectionately known has officially stepped up as Mayor. Juan has been known as a family first, community champion, that has served the as the chair of the Charlottesville City School Board, chair of the United Way of Greater Charlottesville, a dedicated member 100 Black Men of Central Virginia, and Alpha Phi Alph Fraternity, Inc.  Juan is a trained urban planner with degrees from Norfolk State University and the University of Virginia. His stated political goals are, “Bringing People Together to address critical issues in the community.”
